Founded by players Hypnos, MetaphysicGing, and Lemmy on Steam, their casual gaming chat group evolved into a secretive clan. On August 28th, 2021, they established a Discord server, solidifying their bond and welcoming "The First Wave" of Mohtal, Henrik, Eamzy, and others.

In a year, the clan burgeoned into a global community, embracing players like TheRevMiracle, Kie, and StuartCheedle (Second Wave), and LazyOneKenobi and Golden Royal (Third Wave). By 2023, boasting a thousand members, the Hermetica Clan attracted Twitch Casters, pros, and AoE2 luminaries, hosting prestigious tournaments like the Battle of The Backseat and the Enigma Cup.
